In the years since we started Murphy's Kids, we have been asked what happens with the money we raise? It's a great question and one we are happy to answer.
In 2007, Murphy's Kids raised almost $100,000.00... and donated all of it! Following is a list of just some of the deserving individules and groups Murphy's Kids was able to help in 2007.
- Police Benevolent Fund – $1,000.00 donation
- National Children's Cancer Fund - $1,000.00 donation
- Brenner Children's Hospital - $1,000.00 donation
- Koontz Family Trust - $2,400.00 donation
- Hayden Jones, who suffers from Krabbe Disease - $2,600.00 donation
- American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - $50.00 donation
- Victory Junction Gang Camp – $25,000.00 donation for 10 children to attend camp
- Rockingham County Red Cross - $1,000.00 donation
- Chris Paul's CP3 All-Stars - $1,000.00 donation
- Heritage Specialty Dogs - $5,900.00 for service dog
- Salvation Army Girls & Boys Club - $5,000.00 Student of the Year Scholarship
- A-T Children's Project - $3,000.00 donation
- Angel Weaver driveway - $2,970.00 – donation to build a driveway
- Breaking and Entering Christmas – We helped several local families in need during the holidays
- Loaves & Bread Food Bank - $1,000.00 donation
- Todd Smith family - $5,000.00 donation to family devastated by fire
